Installing ActiveMQ

  1. Download ActiveMQ
  2. Extract to a folder to be accessed when running ActiveMQ.

Running ActiveMQ

  1. Open up a command prompt
  2. Navigate to the bin folder in the home directory of ActiveMQ (where you extracted the files) using the cd command (i.e. cd c:\apache-activemq-5.2.0\bin)
  3. Type activeMQ and let the program start (for Linux CLI, you will need to be in the activemq folder and run bin/activemq)
